15-06-2023: NAVTTC conducted stakeholders engagement meeting with Punjab TVET, chaired by Executive Director (ED) NAVTTC, in Lahore. The purpose of the dialogue was to take policy input from stakeholders and devise a strategic approach for enhancing the Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) sector in Pakistan.

Secretary Labour & Human Resource Development and Secretary Industries Commerce & Investment, Punjab participated in the meeting and commended NAVTTC for initiating consultative dialogue. Secretary Zakat & Ushar assured unwavering support of the Ministry for the development and strengthening of the TVET sector.

ED NAVTTC, Mr. Muhammad Amir Jan underlined the need for developing centralized database system of fund utilization for TVET.  He directed the formation of a synchronized data mechanism between NAVTTC and Punjab Board of Technical Education (PBTE) to ensure a smooth operational process primarily for certificate verification. Mr. Jan proposed conducting a comparative study to explore an efficient mechanism for achieving this objective.

The session facilitated the strengthening of synergy within the TVET sector. Working committees were established to ensure the implementation and monitoring of the decisions taken during the meeting.
