Federal Minister for Education and Professional Training Lauds the Efforts of NAVTTC in Improving TEVT Standards

Federal Minister for Education and Professional Training Mr. Shafqat Mahmood visited NAVTTC Headquarters today. Chairman NAVTTC welcomed him. The Minister appreciated NAVTTC efforts in implementing the fourteen areas of intervention under the Prime Minister’s Hunarmand Program. He particularly lauded the initiatives of NAVTTC to establish 104 Job Placement and Vocational Counseling Centres (JP&VCCs), developing National Employment Exchange Tool, Job Portal (NEXT) and for training of 37000 youth in Hi-Tech and conventional trades. He stressed that that effective implementation will improve standards of vocational and technical training and also create a paradigm shift towards training that would enhance employability of the Pakistanis in national and global job market. He welcomed Engr. Sajid Baloch as the new Executive Director NAVTTC. The Minister appreciated his past performance at the UNESCO HQs Paris and in his previous assignments in public service including Gilgit-Baltistan. He expressed full confidence in Mr. Sajid Baloch in achieving the desired goals of quality certification, accreditation and employment.
