A Trainer (TVET teacher) is the most valuable component of TVET sector that plays the most important role in providing the demanded skilled workforce to any society. The quality of training-learning is highly dependent on the knowledge and competency of a trainer who essentially requires continuous professional development (CPD) in horizontal and vertical directions throughout his/her career. TVET is a fast changing sector because of rapid technological advancements hence to keep abreast with time response to changes is indispensable for trainers as they are the ultimate knowledge transmitters.
Under the National Skills Strategy, NAVTTC has designed a comprehensive action plan to evolve and ensure continuous professional development of TVET teachers. NAVTTC has planned to train 500 master trainers from technologically advanced countries who would further train 2,000 TVET teachers in a cascading manner.
